Why Not Try:
- Grilled Ostrich Fillets: Marinate the fillets in your favourite marinade for a few hours. Then, grill them over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Serve with grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
- Ostrich Tacos: Season the ostrich fillets with taco seasoning and grill or pan-sear them until cooked. Slice the cooked fillets and serve in warm tortillas with your choice of toppings, such as salsa, guacamole, shredded lettuce, cheese, and sour cream.
- Ostrich Fillet Medallions: Cut the fillets into smaller medallion-sized pieces, season with your favourite herbs and spices, and pan-sear them in a hot skillet with a bit of oil. Serve these medallions as an appetizer or as the main course, accompanied by a sauce like a mushroom reduction or red wine reduction.
- Ostrich Fillet Sandwich: Grill or pan-sear the fillets and serve them on a soft bun with your choice of toppings and condiments. Consider adding lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and a tasty sauce like aioli or barbecue sauce.
- Ostrich Fillet with Wine Sauce: Pan-sear the ostrich fillets and then deglaze the pan with red wine. Add some beef or vegetable broth, herbs, and a touch of butter to create a flavorful sauce. Serve the fillets with the wine sauce drizzled over the top.
- Ostrich Fillet Curry: Cut the ostrich fillets into bite-sized pieces and incorporate them into a rich and aromatic curry. Choose a curry paste or spices that you enjoy, and pair the curry with rice or naan bread.
