For best results pan fry from frozen. The following instructions are guidelines only. Ensure that the product is piping hot, thoroughly cooked and no pink colour remains before serving. Do NOT refreeze after defrosting.
PAN FRY from Frozen
- Remove from all packaging.
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan over a medium heat.
- Fry meatballs over a low to medium heat for 18 minutes.
- Turn occasionally, reduce heat if necessary.
- Add to your favourite recipe.
Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours. Keep frozen at -18°C. Best before date indicated on the pack.
Middle Eastern Beef Meatballs (Kofta-Style) Prepare the meatballs: In a large bowl, combine beef, onion, garlic, spices, herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly — avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender. Form into small balls (about 1–1.5 inches / 2–3 cm). Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs 8–10 min, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through. Cook the meatballs:
Option 1: Pan-fry
Option 2: Oven-bake Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Place meatballs on a lined baking tray and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Bake 15–20 min, turning halfway, until golden and cooked through. Serve: With pita, hummus, and salad, or over rice with tahini drizzle. Garnish with extra parsley or coriander for freshness.
Tips & Variations
- Spice it up: Add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne for extra heat.
- Sauce: Serve with a simple tomato sauce spiced with cumin, paprika, and a little cinnamon for a comforting twist.
- Grill: Skewer meatballs on wooden or metal skewers and grill for smoky flavor.
